Twitter Starts Sharing Ad Revenue with Verified Creators

Twitter is starting to share ad revenue with verified creators. Creators must have a Twitter Blue subscription and meet certain engagement thresholds to be eligible. The share of ad revenue that creators earn will be based on a number of factors. The first round of creator payouts will total $5 million.

Twitter is finally giving creators a piece of the pie. The company announced today that it will start sharing ad revenue with verified creators who meet certain engagement thresholds.

To be eligible, creators must have a Twitter Blue subscription and have averaged 5 million tweet impressions per month over the past 3 months. They must also have at least 100 followers and have tweeted at least 50 times in the past 30 days.

Once a creator is eligible, they will start earning a share of the ad revenue generated from ads that are served in the replies to their tweets. The share will be based on a number of factors, including the number of impressions and clicks generated by the ad.

Twitter says that the first round of creator payouts will total $5 million. The payouts will be delivered via Stripe, and will be cumulative from the month of February onward.

This is a big win for creators, who have long been asking Twitter for a way to monetize their content. It's also a sign that Twitter is serious about its commitment to creators.

The company has been making a number of moves in recent months to improve the experience for creators, including launching a new subscription service called Twitter Blue and introducing a new feature called Tip Jar.

With the addition of ad revenue sharing, Twitter is making it even more attractive for creators to use the platform. This could help to attract new creators and keep existing creators engaged.
